What to expect during Botox treatment
The doctor will first discuss with the client what he or she wants to accomplish. Dr. Mallalieu and Dr. VanAntwerp will answer any questions prior to starting the botox treatment. The area to be treated is carefully swabbed with alcohol and Botox is injected into the area the patient wants relaxed.
Side effects are very uncommon. Rarely you may notice a small bruise and/or mild tenderness at the injection sites.
How soon can I expect to see results after Botox?
You start to see relaxation of wrinkles and frown lines in three to four days with completion in seven days. Our doctors will add to your treatment at no additional cost if you do not see satisfactory results by two weeks. Clients are asked to contact the office after two weeks if this happens.
How long does Botox last?
Results last 3-6 months depending on how your body reacts to Botox. Frequency of treatment depends on the individual needs of the client. Most people receive regular treatment within a three to six month period.
